My preference on Pool availability is to open throughout daylight hours - simple. However, as that's highly unlikely, a continuous block every day from say 8AM to one hour before sunset. Today's sunset will be at 20:06 (8:06PM), so Pool could close 7PM.

The Council will be undertaking a survey over the 1-week period Thursday19th February to Wednesday 26th February 2009 to gather the views of residents on operating hours and the length of the swimming season for the Blackheath Pool. The survey will gather responses randomly from residents, visitors, businesses and groups in the Blackheath, Megalong Valley, Mt Victoria and Medlow Bath areas. The data gathered will be analysed and results will assist the Council to determine the most appropriate operating hours for the Blackheath Pool.

Lifeguard Rebecca has just told me Pool will open to 7:30PM today & tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, Pool opened late - to 7:30PM - both Friday and Saturday. Very good.
ReplyDeleteHowever, as the announcement of extension was made AFTER 6PM & there was NO signage, many patrons had already packed up & departed .
