"A place of continuing recreational and social significance"

In 1991 Pearl Beach rock pool was heritage listed by the National Trust and provided with a heritage plaque stating that it is 'A place of continuing recreational and social significance'

Swimming: Cabarita Pool
The pics in Sally's post remind me there's more than one way to fence a public pool - *glass & steel* certainly makes for a far less visually intrusive barrier.
